The Narayana Business School Aptitude Test (NBSAT) is a digitally proctored entrance exam curated for aspiring management leaders of tomorrow. Unlike conventional aptitude tests, NBSAT goes beyond numbers and logic – it evaluates a candidate’s aptitude, leadership readiness, creativity, ethics, and decision-making abilities. 

Conducted online with AI-enabled proctoring, candidates can take the test from the comfort of their homes while ensuring a secure, transparent, and fair assessment experience.

  • Eligibility Criteria

For PGDM Data Science and Analytics

A background in Mathematics or Statistics during senior secondary education is preferred. Additionally, a degree in IT Engineering, Computer Applications, or Statistics is highly desirable.

For PGDM- Quantitative Finance

A background in Mathematics or Statistics during senior secondary education is preferred. Additionally, a degree in Finance, Statistics, Engineering or Economics is highly desirable.

The Narayana Business School Aptitude Test or NBSAT is India's First holistic Management Entrance Test, which has been curated to evaluate aspirants not just for their aptitude but also leadership readiness, creativity, ethics, and decision-making approach.

While we encourage every NBS aspirant to take this test for their holistic assessment, there is exemption for those who have appeared for CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT and scored above our Cutoffs. (CAT ≥ 75, XAT ≥ 70, CMAT ≥ 80, NMAT ≥ 180)

NBSAT measures the candidate’s ability in Quant & Data Interpretation, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Business & Economic Awareness, Communication & Language Proficiency, Creativity & Innovation, and Decision-Making & Ethical Reasoning. Utilize study materials and practice with sample papers for comprehensive preparation.

NBSAT is an online proctored exam, ensuring that candidates can take the test from a remote location while maintaining the integrity of the exam process.

NBSAT is conducted Online and is a fully automated process, thus once you submit the application, you will be notified for the next available date and slot for NBSAT.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.  

Applicants in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or those awaiting results are also eligible to apply for NBSAT.

NBSAT Registration starts from 22nd Sept 2025 and will happen in phased manner. Deadline for each phase will be notified to the registered applicants.

NBSAT happens for all 4 MBA and PGDM program offered by NBS. While we encourage every NBS aspirant to take NBSAT for their holistic assessment, there is also an exemption for those who have appeared for CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT and scored above our Cutoffs. (CAT ≥ 75, XAT ≥ 70, CMAT ≥ 80, NMAT ≥ 180)

28 is the maximum age limit for the student seeking admissions at
Narayana Business School.

The selection process at Narayana Business School involves 4 stages: 

  1. Submission of Application form via NBSAT or CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT.

  2. Qualify Narayana Business School Aptitude Test (NBSAT) or Other Entrance Test with Cutoffs CAT ≥ 75, XAT ≥ 70, CMAT ≥ 80, NMAT ≥ 180.

  3. Appear for Psychometric Profiling (Online).

  4. Appear for Online Personal Interview (PI).

Candidates must successfully complete and qualify each stage to be eligible
for admission to the postgraduate programs at NBS.

  • Visit the NBS application portal. 
  • Click ‘Register’ and provide your details. 
  • Log in with the ID from your email. 
  • Fill out the application form and upload the required documents. 
  • Pay the fee through the available online payment methods.

The cut-off for the NBSAT Entrance test is of 50%.

The NBSAT score is part of the comprehensive evaluation process for admission, which includes aptitude test, psychometric profiling, academic performance, work experience, and a personal interview.

Application fees are non-refundable under any given circumstances.

The NBSAT result will be declared within 24 hours of completion of the test.

Personal interview slot booking details will be communicated via email after the NBSAT results are declared.

The guidelines for the NBSAT are as follows:

  1. Candidates are required to report online by 10:45 a.m. for user ID, password, and ID proof verification. 
  2. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the NBSAT after 11.00 AM. 
  3. The test duration is 120 minutes, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. 
  4. The NBSAT Entrance Exam will close automatically at 1.00 pm, and no extra time will be provided under any circumstances. 
  5. Any candidate found using unfair means will lose their chance of admission and will be disqualified from receiving NBSAT scores. 
  6. The scores released by the NBS are final and won’t be open for any appeal or revaluation.

After NBSAT, Shortlisted Students will be required to appear for Psychometric Profiling, followed by Personal Interview.

Candidates can appear for NBSAT only once.

There is no reservation policy in the NBSAT Entrance Test.

NBSAT scores are valid for admissions in the 2026-28 batch at Narayana
Business School. The test is a prerequisite for programs such as PGDM Dual
Specialization, PGDM Data Science & Analytics, PGDM Quantitative
Finance, and MBA+PGPCE.

The NBSAT consists of a total of 100 questions: 20 Quant & Data Interpretation, 20 Logical & Analytical Reasoning, 15 Business & Economic Awareness, 15 Communication & Language Proficiency, 15 Creativity & Innovation, and 15 Decision-Making & Ethical Reasoning.

Candidates must present one of the following government-issued IDs:
Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Passport.
